What You Say Matters!

In general, do you think we have become too casual with the words we speak? Do you say whatever is on your mind without considering the consequence of your words, or their impact on others? Have you heard conversations that made you shake your head in disbelief at what was being said? Unfortunately, it may happen too often. Words are powerful tools that can create or destroy, but seldom get the attention they deserve. They possess creative energy and energy attracts energy. The Bible tells us in Psalm 18:21 “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” Are you speaking death or life? Why not practice becoming more self-aware and closely monitor what you are saying? Be intentional and make a conscious effort to eliminate self-defeating words from your vocabulary. Negative words are counterproductive to your growth. Changing how you speak and think will help you manifest your goals. As a Christian life coach, I help clients become more self-aware and choose words that are in alignment with their vision. These are simple changes that may not be new to you, but perhaps, you are now ready to begin implementing them. It is never too late to start improving. Take a moment to reflect, have you said something negative about yourself or someone today. Examine how you are speaking words. Then look around you, who are you attracting to you? Words are powerful, commit to choosing your words carefully. Don’t wait, start today.
